In recent decades, RMU has established itself as a successful family business in the biological process and aeration technology for municipal and industrial wastewater treatment plants. Today, efficiency and quality are among the most important features of aeration systems in order to be able to operate biological wastewater treatment plants economically and ecologically. We meet these demands by the optimal integration of our solutions in the existing cleaning process.
More than 60% of the energy consumption of a wastewater treatment plant is used for the biological cleaning stage. Efficient aeration systems and adapted control concepts for the process engineering as well as the intelligent control of all components help here to save significant amounts of energy.
Our main product, the unique MESSNER® Aeration Panel has been extremely successful in its use since the 1980s as a fine-bubble and highly efficient membrane aerator for oxygen supply in municipal and industrial wastewater treatment plants. The aeration panel is available today in both MESSNER® Classic and MESSNER® Compact formats. Our product portfolio is complemented by a range of additional solutions from the areas of aeration, process technology and service.

MESSNER® Aeration Panel Classic and Compact
The proven MESSNER® Classic and MESSNER® Compact, provided with a long-lasting, low-maintenance and clogging-free membrane of thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU), does not contain plasticizers or other additives. This Aerations Panels are the perfect choice for permanent as well as intermittent operation in municipal and industrial wastewater treatment plants.
